A rare disorder of rheumatoid meningitis developed in a patient with generalized myasthenia gravis and rheumatoid arthritis in a remission phase of both disorders.

Why is it important?

Using a flow cytometry sysyem, the immunity in the cerebrospinal fluid and that of the outside of the central nervous system were investigated and the difference was significant.

Perspectives

This is the first report that revealed the altered lymphocyte subsets in the cerebrospinal fluid in a patient with rhematoid meningitis.
