What is it about?
This work is about the design, manufacture and validation of a new laryngopharyngeal esthesiometer and endoscopic rangefinder. This device is intended to quantify laryngopharyngeal mechanosensitivity and to determine quantitative sensorial thresholds for laryngeal adductor reflex, cough reflex and gag reflex.

This device will help to quantify the degree of compromise of laryngopharyngeal sensitivity in dysphagia, obstructive sleep apnea and chronic cough due to laryngopharyngeal hypersensitivity
