What is it about?

Health experts that are working in the malaria endemic regions of Iran, believe that with every step that electricity networks develop and come forward, malaria retreats and gets back. In this study we checked if this belief has any routs in reality or not.

Why is it important?

Ascribing success in controlling of malaria to merely development of electricity network could be misleading. The authors in this research were going to define in which condition do development helps.

Perspectives

To the best of my knowledge, this work is of the few that have focused on the issue of the effect of development on malaria. I hope this work and its results to be a motivation for the others who are in hope of eliminating malaria in their countries to expand their views and look at those aspects of malaria that are more concerned with the behavior of the people than with expansion of merely resources. We have to pay more attention to empowerment of the general population. People, themselves have to feel responsibility for keeping their health and take the helm from the health experts.
