We devised a strategy to identify bacterial molecules capable of inhibiting growth of Plasmodium falciparum, the agent that causes malaria.

Malaria is still a major global health problem and thus requires development of new therapies for treatment.

Perspectives

Hopefully, the implementation of this strategy on a greater scale could help to identify new, potentially useful anti-malaria compounds.
