What is it about?

Renovating the interior of a general practice office improved patient satisfaction not only in domains related to the renovation but also in domains such as the performance of the general practitioner.

Why is it important?

When measuring patient satisfaction in primary care, we should be aware of the potential that the results are biased due to a recent renovation.

Perspectives

I believe measuring patient satisfaction in primary care is an important outcome when we want to assess the overall quality of care. However, we as humans are influenced in our preferences and perceptions of the surroundings. This research also taught me how motivated patients of a primary care office are to comment on their satisfaction with health care.
