Why is it important?

This paper was first (or among the first) to propose a methodology for a systematic map. Our case the primary question addressed was: Which components or attributes of biodiversity affect (positively or negatively) which dimensions of poverty? The results provide researchers, policy-makers and practitioners with a methodical overview of the type and quantity of evidence.

Perspectives

This paper is important for its methodological contribution and addressing an important question- in what ways does biodiversity address poverty. Further out of this research we provided not only answers to this question but insights into the kind of research that should be done to best fill the evidence gaps identified.
