Why is it important?
The clinical case report remains central to medical publishing. While other research designs are more important in generating medical evidence, the case history has an important role in reporting the rare and the novel. It also plays an important educational role.
Perspectives
The clinical case report is here to stay. It should be used with its limitations in mind.
