What is it about?

We have looked at all research that has been conducted on promoting physical activity/exercise in older people (55 years plus) using internet, phone or other other non-face-to-face means. We found 16 research articles. Overall, it seems that internet, phone and other non-face-to-face means are successful in promoting physical activity in seniors.

Why is it important?

The take home messages are: 1. Internet, phone, print and other non-face-to-face interventions that target physical activity in older adults are successful. 2. We should aim to conduct research on how best use modern technology to promote health behavior in older adults. 3. We need to look at different strata of older adults that life in different regions.
