Why is it important?
By measuring the suprathreshold level we can find whether diabetics have a higher chance of eating more sugar
Perspectives
The prediabetics in this study were detected from the HBA1c value and their values were closure that of controls. Although a person with a normal suprathreshold value this will not give a clue to the glycaemic state. This would further indicate that lowering the sensitivity to sucrose will improve the glycaemic state of diabetics
