What is it about?

The article describes results from interviews with patients about how they view their role communicating in medical encounters. We identified 8 thematic descriptions of how patients perceive difficulty communicating with their providers. These 8 themes were organized into 3 categories: patients view of their medical condition; patients view of the providers communication; and external factors on their visits.
