Sarcoidosis: patient treatment priorities

What is it about?

Sarcoidosis has a significant impact on the lives of those diagnosed with this rare disease. The findings of an online survey of 1842 sarcoidosis patients in Europe showed strongly that Quality of Life and Functionality should be included as outcomes in their treatment and care. The survey respondents also stressed that clinicians should work in a multidisciplinary way to ensure a holistic approach and that sarcoidosis specialists and specialist centres are needed in every country.
