Prevalence and Risk Factors of Asthma and Allergy-Related Diseases among Adolescents (PERFORMANCE) study: rationale and methods

What is it about?

PERFORMANCE is a two-phase longitudinal study aiming at investigating the prevalence and risk factors of asthma and allergy-related diseases among adolescents of West Bengal. The multicentre study has several important attributes that are unique and are lesser-known. The study will help in diagnosis and management of the adolescents who are suffering from asthma or allergy-related diseases and also help to identify the crucial linkages between various socio-environmental, behavioural and other risk factors and disease aetiology.
