What is it about?
In a cohort of community-dwelling adults, the presence of a hiatus hernia was associated with abnormalities detected in the lungs by CT scan that may represent inflammation and scar tissue. Our study suggests hiatus hernia may be a risk factor in the early stages of interstitial lung disease.
