What is it about?

Staging lung cancer means the determination of its anatomic extent, that is, the measurement of its size, its location, its invasion to adjacent structures, and its spread to lymph nodes or distant organs. This is done by the combination of imaging techniques, endoscopies and minimally invasive surgical procedures. It is a multidisciplinary activity that helps physicians and surgeons make therapeutic decisions and indicate prognosis.
