What is it about?
The multiple breath washout test is sensitive to clinical outcomes in young children with cystic fibrosis. However at least three technically acceptable trials are required, which is time-consuming and not always feasible in young children. We show that results from two trials provides the same ability to detect lung disease when compared with three trials. This may allow for shorter testing duration and improved success rates in young children
