What is it about?

COPD patients tend to develop heart failure. These patients present an imbalance in the water of their body recurrently, allowing a worse prognosis of their state of health.

Why is it important?

Some studies have presented the importance of the imbalance of body water in chronic kidney disease, COPD or CHF, non-obstante is unknown the effect of abnormal distribution of the body water in patients of heart failure secondary to COPD.

Perspectives

With the constant increase in life expectancy, several chronic diseases will augment their prevalence as COPD and HF, making it more difficult the prognosis and raises health costs.
