People who become Christians in Africa are historically and culturally of a very different origin from Westerners. Such difference needs attention, and not ignoring.

Why is it important?

Use of European languages in Africa acts as a screen obscuring much that goes on in the continent from the West. Things obscured easily mess-with what Westerners think that they are doing on the continent.
