What is it about?
A simple semi-empirical mathematical model of a CIL/CIP plant has been developed allowing a study of the impact of major plant variables on tank by tank leaching and adsorption on active carbon. Thus the impact on overall recoveries and final carbon loadings can be studied or predicted. Part 1 of the paper details the model and parameters for coefficients in the model typical of the plant for which the model was developed and provides the validation of the model.

Why is it important?
This approach can help you optimise your plant for maximum throughput / recovery / cash flow.
