What is it about?

The use of reflection in adult theological education and formation is analyzed with practical examples. These examples are taken from the authors experience of training Church of England priests. The analysis includes a discussion and evaluation of the reflection in general.

Why is it important?

The article through the use of examples demonstrates in the social sciences and in vocational practice the benefit of the use of reflection. In fact the effectiveness increases the more reflective cycles can be included.

Perspectives

I personally have been able to change my life perspective as a result of reflection and in particular recognizing the process described by Moon (1998). I am therefore totally sold on the idea of reflection and how to use and improve its use in vocational training.
