What is it about?

The second part of this paper examines the validity of the time correction and shows its value by studying the effect of typical plant variables on recovery. These included particle size, solution loss and head grade itself. Significant correlations were found which would not have been possible without the prior correction to the data. Variation of recovery for the corrected data was almost half that of the uncorrected data indicating that much of the original variation was an artefact.

Why is it important?

The ability to make a more immediate and accurate interpretation of recovery data leads to better plant control and permits more meaningful and detailed analysis of the plant behaviour opening the way to more effective optimisation.
