What is it about?
Recent shortages of anti-cancers in Pakistan has created uncertainty regarding the treatment and prognosis of patients with cancer. The candidates for these agents had to seek alternatives in the chemotherapy regimens which would be definitely compromising the quality of life. The role of authorities looking after the management of these agents is becoming questionable.

Why is it important?
Our route cause analysis showed that the approval of least number of anti-cancer drugs by the regulatory authority and the scarce production of these agents is responsible for recent shortage of oncology drugs in Pakistan.
Perspectives
I think this article will lead as an initiative for both healthcare providers and the legislative authorities to cope with this situation in clinical and managerial settings respectively.
