What is it about?
This article explores how stereotypes about low-income women contribute to rape blame. In particular, low-income women tend to be stereotyped as being promiscuous, and women who are perceived to be promiscuous tend to be blamed in cases of sexual assault, thus, low-income women in general are seen as more blameworthy in cases of sexual assault as compared to high-income women.
