Why is it important?

This article is important because as the field of biologic advances, we will find new ways to treat ACL tears. Some of these may involve the ability to perform repairs of partial tears, which can be augmented with biologic factors to the point where athletes may not have to undergo a complete reconstruction of all ACL tears.

Perspectives

This article provides perspectives on where we are currently with the treatment of partial ACL tears. While some data is present, a lot of data is still needed before this becomes mainstream treatment of partial ACL tears.
