What is it about?

Theoretical view has exposed us to how price allocating resources with invisible hand paradox works. In the face of population pressure, traditional and uregulated land tenure including farmers drift towards rainforest, we have shown the pattern and how price regulating and availing land for the use of efficient but land poor farmers.

Why is it important?

Assessing the theme of agriculture land market in rural area, it is envisage that the right to land use and ensuring land-based food security among land poor would be considered for policy concerns.

Perspectives

I observe that some farmers are intrested and resourceful in other factors of production to make efficiently use of agricultural land but accessing land become a barrier to discharge farming responsibilities. With persisting issues of population growth, traditional land tenure and farmers’ immigration phenomena, which continue to threaten the right of land use and cause high level of tenure insecurity and food insecurity to the land poor, this article reporting the function of agricultual land market mechanism to address the problems in rural Nigeria.
