Existing works investigating concentration-Profitability relationship have employed regression and correlation methods. This work advanced the knowledge by looking the nexus within causal relations. Our model is set up within the innovative methods of GMM and Panel VAR
Perspectives
The Nigerian banking industry has witnessed higher concentration due to the recapitalization policy of the central Bank which leads to collusion among banks in the industry. This work explores the effect of this policy on the profitability in the industry
