Why is it important?

This study establishes solid links between complex family issues, poor working conditions and mental health status of adolescent girls. While child labour is almost eradicated in the study country, decent working conditions for adolescent employmees with provision of employees assistance programs should be considered by policy makers.

Perspectives

As a preventive medicine physician, passionate about improving the lives of vulnerable, underprivileged adolescent girls, I value this study as an important contribution to the scientific world, giving voice to girls from impoverished back grounds working in poor working conditions.
