Why is it important?

Auto-Brewery Syndrome (ABS) has been known for over 100 years. This is the first research to examine various factors such as diet, antibiotics and demographics to see if there may differences between people with ABS and people who do not have it. This study is a first step to help identify what may be causing or triggering this rare syndrome.

Perspectives

My husband suffered from ABS so I was driven to find answers to his bizarre and unexplained symptoms of appearing drunk without drinking. I’ve met hundreds more sufferers and have started a non-profit organization to fund research and the dissemination of information. Www.autobrewery.info
