What is it about?
The use of emotional intelligence by leaders during the process of change can enable them to over challenging emanating from the process of change. Such leaders can understand the emotions of those affected by change and manage such emotions for a positive change. It also enables the leader to understand his or her emotions and how to manage that as well for the good of the people and the survival of the organization.

This is important because people will always become emotional about loosing something dear or valuable as a result of the anticipated change. The paper provides leaders advancing any change efforts within an organization, a set of needed skills to be successful in leading change.
