What is it about?

Schools need to have their own strategies and structures that can ensure the quality of education they provide which ultimately lead to improving performance of the school. In many cases public schools have been relying on external quality assurance bodies for information on how they are doing in achieving their set goals whilst ignoring the available structures within the schools that can detect defects and look for corrective measures at the required time.

Why is it important?

Given the rare visits to schools from the quality assurance office (Inspectorate) the paper informs on how schools can use the existing structures to ensure and control quality of education provided. It thus insist on the need to have visionary leadership that can bring together all stakeholders in owning and sharing the school vision for improved performance.
