What is it about?

When families affected by armed conflict are asked to speak of their quality of life, education is mostly referred as one of the main dimensions affecting the younger generations’ wellbeing. In fact, the community frequently look at the education as a medium for youths hope and better future. In addiction education’s role in response to conflict and as demands of early recovery, can be considered a pivotal pillar of humanitarian aid together with food and water, shelter and health. our mixed method study aims to identify how the perception of families on education can be influenced by the wellbeing resources available to cope with political and military violence. We hypothesize that education is a well-being factor influenced by economic conditions- The work is divided in a quantitative and qualitative enquiry, and the results are analyzed and compared in order to create a wider image of the families’ perception of education, school and childhood in Gaza Strip.
