Why is it important?

A probable theory for this study is that a regional school counselor leadership team emerged via decisions based on regional community needs and similar concerns, and the team has been sustained over time because of its open forum structure, ability to address ongoing regional professional development needs, and shared but equitable responsibilities among team members.

Perspectives

A primary benefit of developing a regional school counselor leadership team is to assist school districts with limited resources that school counselors can use in meeting the needs of their students.
