What is it about?

When you compare Christian schools worldwide, you can structure the differences on three levels: teaching and learning level, administration level and society level. We found that the differences can be mapped with help of 24 dimensions. They cover the three levels. By using them you can make a portrait of Christian Education in a certain context.

Why is it important?

There is a growing amount of Christian schools in the world. Conversations with NGO's made clear that they need a framework to understand what cultural factors must be considered, when giving support to new projects. This model seems to fill a gap. In an earlier search we didn't find helpful models. This motivated us to build one. We worked in a team and people from a range of countries have reflected on earlier drafts.

Perspectives

We are still working on a scan by which qualitative and quantitative research can be carried out, to validate the framework more carefully. We also would like to hear about experiences with using the model.
