What is it about?
The paper demonstrates that the prophet Ezekiel used the term "I will sprinkle clean water on you" to remind his audience of the Old Testament Ritual of cleansing from sin in which a lamb is sacrificed and its ashes mixed with water is sprinkled with hyssop On the sinner (Num.19). He uses the specific term "clean water" to point to a future cleansing rite which would utilize plain water, and would accomplish complete regeneration of the sinner without a need for repeated animal sacrifice. This prophecy is fulfilled in Christian doctrine of regeneration symbolised in Baptism.
