Beside Helicobactder pylori, other pathogenic bacteria or viral particles could contribute to the pathogenesis of chronic gastric and peptic ulcer. We investigated the serology of H. pylori and EBV infection and found that uin duodenal ulcer patients, bioth the prevaqlence of EBV and its IgG antibody titer is higher than in dyspeptic or reflux cases.
