What is it about?

Survey designed to increase our understanding of how patients with allergies self-manage their condition. Data suggests that interactions with a pharmacist about allergy medication (prescription and non-prescription) appear to be more common than interactions with a physician.

Why is it important?

Survey data encourages pharmacists to be prepared to not only help patients choose an allergy medication but to also counsel on the disease and optimal use of the medication to improve adherence to treatment and improve patient outcomes.
