Why is it important?
Prasugrel was superior to clopidogrel in a randomized trial of acute coronary syndrome patients undergoing coronary intervention. However, little is known about their efficacy in everyday practice. This study adds support to the superior efficacy of prasugrel compared to clopidogrel in this setting in appropriately selected patients.
