Why is it important?
Crucial to drive prevention programmes from ground level upwards on the detrimental effects of alcohol on health.
Perspectives
Our findings support the notion that more population preventive actions and interventions are necessary to reduce alcohol behaviour in young individuals, to change behaviours which could benefit such individuals over their whole lifetime. Alcohol taxes and banning of advertisements may be some useful steps.
