What is it about?

Adherence to medication improves the health outcome of people living with HIV. Participation in peer support activities is promoted by WHO. How far this has been able to improve adherence is not duly ascertained.

Findings from this study will establish efficacy of the peer support intervention in improving adherence to ARVs.

Perspectives

This study brought to light some challenges faced by people with HIV, especially those not belonging to peer support groups. These findings have provided possible directions for future research in this region.
