What is it about?
Mauro Porto introduced a "News Diversity" standard for professional journalism a decade ago. He argued that journalists should provide multiple, equally-strong frames on every political issue, including frames preferred by civil society groups and ignored by political elites. This is the first experimental test of the News Diversity standard, and it finds that multiple frames are less manipulative (drawing readers away from their values) than single frames.
