What is it about?
It's about the pathophysiology of Idiopathic CTS which nowadays accounts for 99.9% of CTS cases. This new pathophysiology does account for the natural history of CTS and that nixes the EDX riddle of CTS. It also changes the surgery for CTS because such surgery should be directed to the ' unleashing ' of the median nerve and not ' decompression '. To top it off, it will bridge hand surgeons' empathy gap which is undoubtedly the result of the disconnect between what we ( the hand surgeons ) think is causing CTS and what actually does.

Why is it important?
It is important because the hand surgeons will be able to explain to CTS patients the science behind their symptoms and also will ensure optimal outcome of surgery.
Perspectives
I have been very satisfied ever since I have been using this approach. It also helps in the affordability of the surgical procedure because as for as I'm concerned quality & affordability are front & back of the coin of scientific medicine. You can not have one without the other, no more than you can have a coin with only one side.
