Why is it important?

There is increasing pressure for companies to comply with the inclusion of sustainability issues in their reports and to genuinely embrace a long-term vision of business. This paper shows how language can be instrumentally and rhetorically appropriated by some corporations to maintain the status quo rather than to drive social change.
