Why is it important?
Patient Safety and tools that help create risk averse environments is essential to the modern Operating Theatre. Being able to communicate such risks helps mitigate them.
Perspectives
The tool was created in res once to a gap analysis within the risk reporting within the operating theatres. Using examples and literature to highlight the dangers and responses to reducing such risks, the Surgical Site Firse Risk Assessment tool was designed for use with every operation and created communication links for practitioners.
