What is it about?

The perceived deficiencies of Communication Research are not due to derivative research but result from the inappropriate application of paradigmatic thinking to the field. Such thinking undermines existing effective and diverse theoretical approaches. Rather, a more effective and inclusive solution must be found. Robert T Craig's 'Communication theory as a field' is posited as one such solution.
