What is it about?
This is a book review of a step by step guide to abdominal ultrasound

Why is it important?
I highlight in my book review that Block's abdominal ultrasound book is timely. It is a useful addition for undergraduate and postgraduate ultrasound courses when used with other books such as Practical Ultrasound and illustrated guide by Alty et al. The review is important because it showcases B Block's understanding of the root to achieving excellence in ultrasound practice
Perspectives
The book review is necessary to share strengths and weaknesses of a book that may be used by ultrasound practitioners from medical and non medical disciplines. The main strength of the Block book is its ease of read; thee weakness is no mention of the role of Doppler in abdominal ultrasound practice
