Smoking is the largest cause of preventable death in the world but many countries still fail to get the smoker to quit. This paper share the experiences and method that can increase the number of successful quitter after 6 month time period.

Why is it important?

We share our experiences in our well designed Integrated-Quit-Smoking Services in Sabah Malaysia. From these paper, reader or health care provider can get some guide on what factors that can used to increase the success rate of smoker. Carbon-Monoxide analyzer and Vitalograph device plays a role in motivating smoker to remain quit after 6 month period.

Perspectives

Integrated-Quit-Smoking-Services (I.Q.S.S) is a well designed method on how we handling nicotine addiction in primary health care setting. Pharmacist acts as the collaborator between subject with other health care provider such as medical assistant, nurses and doctors.
