Why is it important?

This is a timely and important topic as there are more school and community leaders working to provide access and inclusion to transgender students. Especially in this current political climate, this case is important because it is about how leaders can still provide inclusion despite a conservative political and social environment.

Perspectives

This case was a labor of love for both authors and written in honor of the real-life "Anna" and her family who were the true leaders and inspiration for this case.
