What is it about?

This article was written to expose students of educational leadership, administration, policy and school law to the challenges that emerge in a context specific case in what Grint (2010) calls “Wicked Problems.” Through the case study, decision making, policy creation and implementation are discussed with respect to a rapidly changing community’s demographics. Through the lens of race and to a lesser extent gender, student rights, discrimination and Brown v. Board become factors in escalating a Tame Problem to a Wicked Problem.
