What is it about?
Two sisters, from upper middle-class, devoted themselves in philanthropic and educational causes, as others did at the end of Nineteenth century, also in Italy. They were also involved in an unique initiative, the creation of two libraries, conceived for young, literate women, who wanted to improve their education in history, economic and social fields, among the others. The analysis of the libraries printed catalogs give to us the chance to discover their educational method.
