What is it about?

This study tested the relationship between parameters (ie, rate of rise, amplitude, and peak latency) of the P2 waves when trains of auditory, visual, or somatosensory stimuli were applied.

Why is it important?

The results support the viewe that many long-latency brain potentials could share neural mechanisms related to wave generation.

Perspectives

These results permit to add some knowledge about long latency brain waves when different sensory modalities are involved in their generation.
