Why is it important?
This writing is important because it seeks to bridge the gap of understanding for Native American spiritual practices for all people. Americans seem to consider Native American history as an "Us-Them" story versus an "Us-Us" version that pertains to everyone. Until we can value the Native American perspective that always includes spirituality, we cut off valuable self awareness of who we are as a country and people.
Perspectives
This article was written in response to spiritual prompting by the Holy Spirit in this author's perspective, and helps to bring others into the now of a deeply meaningful experience.
